Age discrimination in the workplace

WFTX - Do you suspect you or someone you know lost their job because of age discrimination?  It's a common complaint, but being able to prove it is difficult.

If you think you're a victim, start by gathering evidence.  The best proof catches the boss doing something clearly discriminatory.

Document legally.  All information obtained must be done so legally, or a court could throw out your case.

Seek legal help.  An attorney will likely want up to half of your claim, but they don't take cases that they think won't win.

And finally, consider mediation.  It's cheaper than going to trial and employers are likely to sit down and look to settle valid claims outside of court because it is more cost effective.
