Nurse stabbed at Lee Memorial

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 45-year-old nurse was stabbed by a early this morning at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.
The victim says she went into the room of 65-year-old Linda Eason to check an alarm on a heart monitor. Unknown to the nurse, Eason had a small knife with a four inch blade.
The nurse told police that in the dark Eason tried to stab her in the chest but cut the nurse's left hand instead.
Eason told police she believed the hospital staff was plotting to kill her.
Eason was charged with felony assault.
