Cape Coral, Fla. — WFTX/FOX 4 has announced that Amy Wegmann will substitute for Carley Wegner while Wegner is on medical leave.
Wegmann will team up with Bill Wood to keep the daily program focused on helping viewers find out what’s happening in Southwest Florida and how they can get involved with local businesses, community organizations and events.
The announcement was made today by Judy Kenney, vice president and general manager of Fox 4.
“We are pleased that Amy is able to fill-in for Carley,” said Kenney. “She will help us maintain the high quality program that matches up our viewers with everything that makes Southwest Florida so special.”
Wegmann is a familiar face to viewers because she formerly anchored Fox 4 “In Your Corner” at 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11p.m. She stepped down as Fox 4 news co-anchor to help with her husband, Trey Radel, with his Congressional election campaign.
Fox 4 Morning Blend airs weekdays at 8:00 a.m.
WFTX-TV Fox 4 is owned by Journal Broadcast Group.
