Water outage for small portion of North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Utilities will need to shut off the water to repair a 3” water valve starting at 9:00 am on Friday, September 07, 2012. The outage will be from approximately 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Once the repair has been completed and the water is back on, the following area will be under a precautionary boil water notice: All of Key North Drive from Beau Drive west to the end of the street, including Moorings Point Condos.
Approximately 1,000 residential customers will be affected.
As a precaution, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled at a rolling boil for one minute, or as an alternative, bottled water may be used. This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until bacteriological test shows that the water is safe to drink. Test results will take approximately 48-72 hours.
Please call 533-8575 after 4:30 p.m. on September 9,2012 and each day thereafter as needed to get the current status of the boil water notice.
