TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Florida Republicans say they'd love to see Sen. Marco Rubio run for president someday.
Now so are Texas Republicans, and West Virginia Republicans and Tennessee Republicans and on and on.
Rubio didn't get the vice presidential nomination as many, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, had hoped, but he got a tremendous boost for his future in the events leading up to and including his speech introducing Mitt Romney as the Republican nominee for president.
He was seemingly everywhere, including places where you don't often find Republicans, like "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart and an interview with Black Entertainment Television. And his speech was widely praised as an inspirational message about the opportunities that America can provide.
