Sanibel eyes Isaac, urges residents and businesses to prepare

SANIBEL, Fla. - The city of Sanibel is urging all residents to begin initial preparation as a precaution as Tropical Storm Isaac begins its approach toward Southwest Florida.
The city reminds residents and business owners to make preparations to ensure the safety of your family and protection of your property. Make sure hurricane shutters are installed and have a plan for evacuation.
Check your hurricane supplies and make sure you have adequate prescriptions. Also make sure you have a plan for your pets.
In the event of an evacuation residents and business owners need to make sure they have up-to-date re-entry passes. Those passes can be obtained at the Sanibel Police Department at 800 Dunlop Road until 8 p.m. tonight.
Residents, property owners, business owners, property managers and essential personnel please make sure you have the current Hurricane Re-Entry Passes. Colors that will be honored are:
