LEE COUNTY, Fla. - In the four member race for Lee County Commission District 2, Cecil Pendergrass wins the race. Followed by Doug St. Cerny, Don Stillwell and Warren Wright. And tonight Four in your Corners Mike Mason is getting reaction from the Pendergrass camp.
This is Pendegrass's 2nd time running for Lee county commission. He says he's thrilled to have won while running against such strong opponents. It's interesting to note Pendergrass is the only one to run a TV ad promoting his campaign.
He's also a lifelong resident of Fort Myers. Pendergrass has worked in law enforcement and is now excited about facing his opponent in the November elections.
Pendergrass also worked for the PBA - which is the union in Southwest Florida that supports police officers.
The District 2 seat was recently vacated by Brian Bigelow who left to run for Lee County Clerk of Courts.
Cecil Pendergrass: "I'm so honored that Lee County voters have picked me to be the Republican nominee for the November general election for the Lee County Commission District 2, we're gonna keep campaigning until November and obviously looking forward to all the supporters from the other three candidates in my race to come forward and support me and I will support them and work together".
