MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - A Marco Island woman is in jail accused of forging doctor's signatures in order to get pain pills for her non-profit group.
Joyce Crain is charged with forgery, criminal use of personal identification and possession of controlled substance.
Crain is accused of forging the signatures to get meds for her non-profit, called "Prescriptions 4 Hope." The group claims to provide assistance to patients needing prescription meds at a discounted rate.
Investigators raided her home and say they found more than $120,000 in prescription drugs that may have been fraudulently obtained. She's now being held in the Collier County jail.
