Florida's Lt. Governor catches heat over comments
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll is catching heat for comments she made regarding lesbianism.
When responding to a recent allegation that she engaged in an explicit relationship with a female aide, the married Carroll said "usually black women that look like me don't engage in relationships like that."
Now gay and lesbian groups are calling the comments offensive and generalizing.
Carroll, who denies the affair, has not responded to the criticism about her comments.
