HugeFest at a Cape Coral car dealer could be historic
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - It's a huge giveaway in southwest Florida, from a man that's no stranger to the word.
Car dealer Billy Fucillo is handing out a quarter of a million dollars Thursday during Hugefest at his Cape Coral car dealership.
If the crowds of people here today are any indication, the big event planned for Thursday at Fucilllio Kia could rival any event in Cape Coral history. Since Friday morning, a steady stream of cars have snaked through the dealership parking lot.
Billy Fucillio is throwing another one of his really big events, Hugefest 2012. If the giveaway won’t pull them in, the concert might.
“Styx, I really want to see Styx. That's what I grew up on in 1981 when I graduated high school.” Barbara Devine said.
Maneuvering the estimated 10,000 people expected to show up won't be easy, and it worries some who will be attending.
It's one of the reasons people will not be allowed to park in the lot. Everyone must park at Sun Splash park just down the road, then shuttled to the dealership starting at 3pm.
“They're going to be dropped off right in front of the dealership, but we'll be doing that all day.” General Manager Xavier Villarreal said.
Those who use handicap parking can still go directly to the Fuccillo lot. The police, along with dealership workers will be out directing traffic.
“We do have cape coral PD helping us all day tomorrow in assisting, getting folks pointed in the right direction.” Villarreal said.
There are also things you can not bring with you.
No coolers, umbrella or pets. You can however bring a lawn chair.
And when the big man takes the stage, anything can happen.
