Man strips naked in airport in protest
PORTLAND, OR - The man who stripped down naked at an airport in protest is relaying another message.
"I am not ashamed of my body. I am not ashamed of my body. I was very calm and comfortable and complying with the TSA's request within my rights," said John Brennan.
Brennan stripped down to his birthday suit while going through security at the Portland International Airport Tuesday.
The man says his frustration with airport screenings prompted him to take drastic action.
Brennan added, "They were not very informative about what was going on. At the point I found out I tested positive for nitrates, which is an explosive, I decided the best way to show them that I'm not carrying a bomb is to take off my clothes. They get to choose when they see us naked in those machines, and I just decided I'm going to speed that process up."
Brennan was originally charged with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure. The disorderly conduct charge was dropped yesterday.
