Port Charlotte home invasion arrests

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives arrested two teenagers in connection with a home invasion in Port Charlotte on April 8th.

 

18-year-old Kendrick Lequan McCray of Port Charlotte and 17-year-old Valencia Maria Elena Novas of Punta Gorda are in custody.

 

Charlotte County deputies responded to a call in the 18400 block of Robinson avenue from a homeowner who reported that two men and a woman, all armed with weapons, entered his home, stole cash and various electronics along with his Toyota Camry.

The two were charged with home invasion robbery with a fireman and McCray faces an additional charge of grand theft.  Detectives are still searching for a third suspect.
