LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A mother and son found dead in a Lehigh Acres home. Now investigators are calling it a double homicide.
Details are very few right now as detective work the mysterious deaths.
Yellow crime scene tape blocks off the home on an isolated dirt road. That’s where 43 year old Amy Lorah and her 16 year old son William Haley were found dead inside their home on 49th street in Lehigh.
The bodies were found Monday night by deputies doing a well being check after Lorah didn't show up for work Monday.
“It's always been quiet around here,” one neighbor said about the events.
Haley went by the nickname Dalton and attended Riverdale High School. According to classmates, word of his death was the subject of discussion for most of the day. “Kind of like they were speechless they didn't know how it happened or why.”
Other classmates say Dalton was a popular kid who was very outgoing and had a lot of friends. One young man was one of Dalton's friends and like everyone at Riverdale, he is in shock.
“Nice to people that he knew, but he was never the type to threaten people or deal with anything that would put him in danger.” The teen said.
