Hello there! Thanks for coming here to learn a little bit more about me.
I’m a Midwestern girl from the fabulous town of Cleveland, Ohio. I’m a proud Ohioan, but the sun shines just a little bit brighter here in Florida. Growing up, my family vacationed in Fort Myers, so this town will always have a special place in my heart. Now I get to call our favorite vacation destination my home!
I was the kid who always had “overly social” written on their report card. This job gives me the opportunity to be overly social for a living. I love talking to people and telling their stories. I got into journalism to (hopefully) make an impact on peoples’ lives. I will always be in your corner.
I’m a proud Arizona State Sun Devil and alumna of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I anchored and reported for the live daily newscast, Cronkite NewsWatch and covered everything from the national immigration debate to issues involving childhood obesity and the environment. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a Master’s degree in mass communication.
I’ve produced two award winning documentaries; one on the student debt crisis and another on the security of our nation’s borders. My proudest moment as a journalist was when a young woman included in my documentary won a scholarship because of the documentary’s inclusion in the application.
During my internship with Fox 32 Chicago I got to cover the Blackhawks Stanley Cup win in 2013. I’ve also interned with the Fox and NBC affiliates in Cleveland, OH as well as the national entertainment and news magazine show, The List.
In my free time you can find me sipping sweet tea on one of Florida’s gorgeous beaches-and if you do, then please come say hello!
My job is to inform you and cover what’s important to you. Please feel free to reach out to me so I can do that job better.
