The Morning Blend Hosts

Timothy Remshak

By day he is also the Public Relations Manager for the Wharton Center for Performing Arts.

Get to know a little bit more about Bob:

What are some of your must-haves?: The first thing that comes to mind is friendliness, positiveness. Enjoying life.

What do you need to get through the day?: Coffee, and fun, interesting people.

How do you take your 'morning blend'?: A little dash of cream, and sometimes sugar depending on my mood. Sometimes I like it sweet, sometimes I don't.

Where's the best coffee in town?: Biggby!

What are your favorite spots in the Lansing area?: The River Trail, downtown Lansing, and being outside in the great parks that we have. I love being outdoors.

What are your favorite ways to unwind? Going for a walk, listening to music, going to Wharton Center. Even though it's my work, but sitting in a performance and escaping to somewhere else is a big one for me. And the hot tub.

What's something that people don't really know about you?: That I'm actually shy. I know people wouldn't think that. If I'm working I'm not, but if I'm not working, I'm more reserved.

Favorite events or activities in the Lansing area?: Wharton Center performances. All over there's theater and things going on. We're so fortunate in Lansing. I travel a lot, so I get to see that we're very lucky to live here. I love our community, especially with ePIFany Now, I don't think that would happen anywhere else.

What can viewers expect from 'Morning Blend'?Mary and I have a lot of fun together; we're conversational and easy to talk with. Our goal is to make each guest feel the same way.  We feed off each other really well and people will see that we're interesting because we listen to what they have to say. I think that everyone has a story and Mary and I are good at helping people tell their stories!

Mary Turner is a part of our dynamic hosting duo of "Morning Blend."

Get to know more about Mary:

How do you take your 'morning blend'?I'm what they call a "fru fru" coffee girl.  I love flavored coffees...at the very least, a flavored creamer.  But only half caf!

Where's the best coffee in town? That's what they call a "toughie".  I love Biggby of course, but I also enjoy stopping by a place in Holt called the Coffee Barrel.  And believe it or not, I am a huge fan of the french vanilla cappuccino from the machine at Speedway

What are things that you can't live without?Chocolate.  My camera.  And more chocolate.

What are some of your favorite spots in the Lansing area?I love the vibe of Old Town.  I like to wander through and window shop, and then hit "Cravings" for some popcorn!   I'm partial to Francis park (because I got married there).  My husband and I really enjoy taking bike rides on the river trail as well.

What's something most people don't know about you? That I'm actually really shy! And extroverted introvert if you will.

What's your favorite activity or event that goes on in the Lansing area?I've always enjoyed the Great Lakes Folk Festival in East Lansing, and Holt offers something every summer called "Music in the Park" at Veterans Memorial Gardens in Holt.

What can viewers expect from "Morning Blend"?Bob and I have known each other for quite a while, so we have a great chemistry. I like to call him my "brother from another mother".  So, viewers can expect a very comfortable chat that feels more like they are watching a living room conversation. We like to keep things light and fun, and I think that shows.
