Great news for Kindle owners and book lovers.
Amazon has announced a new monthly subscription service which will provide access to thousands of electronic and audio books.
The Kindle Unlimited service is available for $9.99 a month. Readers will be able to access more than 600,000 electronic books and thousands of audio books.
The service has been dubbed a "Netflix for books."
The service is available on all Kindle devices and the Kindle app for iPhone, iPad, Android tablets, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, PC, Mac and Windows 8.
According to ZDNet.com, there are no "due dates" on titles. In addition, Amazon is offering a 30-day trial and will give a complementary three-month membership to those who sign up for the monthly service.
At this time, it is only available to customers in the United States.
Amazon already offers the Kindle Owners Lending Library. However, only those who subscribe to Amazon Prime and own a Kindle can gain access.
