Wharton Center's 2014-15 Season to Go on Sale to General Public
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Individual tickets to most of Wharton Center’s 2014-2015 season go on sale to the general public Monday, August 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
The on-sale includes MSU Federal Credit Union Broadway at Wharton Center attractions such as ONCE, ANNIE, PIPPIN, BLUE MAN GROUP and I Love Lucy Live On Stage.
Individual tickets to THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and KINKY BOOTS will have separate on-sale dates closer to the productions.
However, you can purchase tickets to these two productions by becoming a Wharton Center subscriber. Subscription packages start at three shows or more.
Wharton Center Public Relations Manager Bob Hoffman is looking forward to the public seeing this year's offerings.
"I think it's a diverse group of shows, and when you look at them, they are the top Broadway shows. They are Tony Award-winning shows."
Along with some of the newer shows like the revival of PIPPIN and ONCE, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will feature different sets and special effects to add something different to a beloved production.
"Phantom has a beautiful history with the Wharton Center," says Hoffman. He also says he's excited for mid-Michigan to experience PIPPIN.
"I absolutely loved PIPPIN when I saw it in New York two years ago. It's just so much fun, just magical. It has a Cirque du Soleil quality. Extraordinary acrobats. It's an eye-popping extravaganza."
Along with the Broadway Series shows, an eclectic group of performers and dance groups are on the schedule. Click here to see our peek at the schedule, and visit www.whartoncenter.com for show information and to purchase tickets.
