Ford Test Drive Event to Benefit Local Charity
LANSING, MI--Michigan State University's Ford College Ambassador team is raising funds for The Greater Lansing Food Bank. A test-drive event will take place on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln.
The Greater Lansing Food Bank works to provide emergency food assistance to those in need in the Greater Lansing area. The benefit aims to raise money to support the charitable work this organization does for the area. For each test drive taken, Ford Motor Company will award $20 to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, and will award the GLFB up to $6,000. Participants must be 18 years or older and will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win Detroit Tigers tickets, NCG Cinema packages and local restaurant gift certificates.
"The GLFB serves seven counties throughout Greater Lansing and tens of thousands of citizens each year," said Joe Wald, Executive Director of the GLFB. "Food assistance is needed throughout the year. Michigan State University's Ford College Ambassador team and Ford Motor Company's generous contribution has the potential to feed hundreds of families. With the help of the people of this community, by simply test driving a new car, we will gain additional ability to feed those who might otherwise go hungry."
The test-drive event will begin at 9AM and will be held throughout the day until the dealership closes at 9PM. Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln is located at 6080 East Saginaw Highway, Grand Ledge, MI 48837. A shuttle service located at MSU's Union will be provided from 3PM to 6PM for those who do not have means of transportation to the dealership.
