MSU's Plan for New Bioengineering Building

A new bioengineering building at Michigan State University is part of the plan to graduate a thousand more engineering students each year. It's been in the works for ten years with two more to go.

The finished product will be a sixty-one million dollar research building. The State is covering about half the cost.

"It's very worthwhile. It's a investment in the future, not only for the state of Michigan, of the kind of economy that we are going to be competing in, in the world, in the future, but it's going to be good for the United States," noted Brian Breslin, MSU Board of Trustees.

MSU will now start recruiting professors to be on staff by the time the building is finished in the summer of 2015.
