You could call it a sweet time to be a Spartan or a Wolverine fan. For the first time in NCAA tournament history, both the Michigan and Michigan State teams are in the sweet 16 in the same year.
Michigan will take on number one Kansas at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas Friday night. Tip-off is at 7:37 p.m. That game will air on TBS. MSU also plays Friday night at 9:45 p.m. against number two Duke at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. That game can be seen on CBS.
If either team makes it to the final four in Atlanta, they'll be playing on home turf, so to speak. "Connor Sport Court International," a company in the upper peninsula has been the exclusive supplier of the championship floor for the last eight years. The floor is made from a specific type of maple that has to come from above the 38th parallel because of its grain structure, resilience, and hardness.
