Michigan State Men's Basketball team lost to rival Michigan in a hard fought battle on Sunday. Michigan held on to win the game by one point, 58-57.
In the second meeting of the season, both teams amped up their energy, knowing that this game means a little bit more than most games. The contest didn't disappoint as the game went back and forth with MSU leading the contest by three at the end of the first half.
At the start of the second half Michigan came out with a new found intensity and seemed to take control of the game. MSU fought back to get the game within one point and possession of the ball with 4.9 seconds left in regulation. Michigan point guard Trey Burke stole the ball to seal the victory.
Michigan State's next game is Thursday night against Wisconsin at 9pm.
