Michigan State Basketball Moves to No. 8, U of M Drops to No. 4

By Stefanie Pohl. CREATED Feb 11, 2013

With the release of the latest AP Poll Monday, Michigan State moved up from No. 12 to No. 8, while Michigan moved down a spot to No. 4.

The in-state rivalry comes to a head Tuesday night at the Breslin Center, as the Spartans prepare to host the Wolverines. MSU is currently tied with Indiana at the top of the Big Ten conference, but a win by the Wolverines would put them back on top again.

Tuesday night's game is the first time in history that Michigan and Michigan State will play against each other in basketball as Top 10 teams.

It is still unclear whether or not Travis Trice will be able to play Tuesday, though it's unlikely he'll be in the game.

The Spartans and Wolverines face off at the Breslin Center - tip-off is at 9:00PM.
