Superman-Batman Movie to Film in Michigan
The Michigan Film Office announced today that the upcoming Superman-Batman movie, starring Ben Afleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, has been approved for filming.
The Warner Bros. film will take place in the metro Detroit area and elsewhere in Michigan, beginning sometime in the first three months of 2014.
The "Man of Steel" sequel has been approved for $35 million in incentives with an anticipated $131 million of in-state spending. Additionally, the movie intends to hire 406 workers, use about 500 Michigan vendors, and spend $5.1 million on local hotels.
