Snyder Appreciates President Obama's Support of Ag Industry
Governor Rick Snyder says he's honored President Barack Obama chose to sign the sweeping farm bill in Michigan. The Republican governor made the comments while speaking Friday in Detroit about the economy and his budget proposal.
A spokesperson with the Governor's office tells News 10 the Governor was invited to the bill signing held at Michigan State University, but he had already accepted an invitation to speak at the Detroit Chamber of Commerce event, where he delivered the State of Michigan Business Address.
Snyder says he appreciates the President's support of Michigan's Agriculture Industry, one of the state's "Big Three" industries.
