9th Lansing Shooting Incident in 8 Days
A 54-year-old man is the latest victim in the 9th shooting incident reported in Lansing in the past 8 days.
The shooting took place at an apartment in the 2500 block of Reo Road on the city's south side at about 10:45p.m. Thursday.
Police say the man was rushed to the hospital, but has non-life-threatening injuries. No arrest has been made.
Police say witnesses told them a man ran up to the front of the building and fired a handgun.
Police continue to investigate. Investigators do not believe it is related to other recent shootings in the city.

A man in his 40s was shot outside a housing complex on Reo Road in Lansing Thursday night.
Police were called to the 2500 block of Reo just before 11pm. An ambulance took the man to a hospital.
Police tell us he is expected to live. A neighbor says she heard kids playing outside before the shots were fired but police have not confirmed that. The shooter ran away.
Police have been searching the area along Pleasant Grove Road. This is the ninth shooting in Lansing since last Thursday.
