Lansing Made Car Named Car of the Year
Motor Trend Magazine gives highest honor to Cadillac CTS.
The Lansing-made Cadillac CTS was named the 2014 Car of the Year by Motor Trend magazine. This is the second time the CTS has won the award.
In making the award, the magazine said the CTS "...ascends in the heart of the midsize luxury market with expanded performance, elevated luxury and sophisticated technology."
The CTS is built at GM's Lansing Grand River Assembly. The award will be made at an employee event on Friday.
The Cadillac beat out a luxury lineup that included the BMW 4 Series, Jaguar and Mercedes S-Class. It also was judged above the Chevrolet Corvette.
Motor Trend selects its Car of the Year based on advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance.
