Crack, Guns & Cash Seized by Local Narcotics Team
JACKSON - Special narcotics officer seize a significant amount of crack cocaine and three handguns in a bust in Jackson Tuesday. Officers with the Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) used an informant to purchase a quarter-of-an-ounce of crack cocaine.
JNET later came back to the residence with a search warrant. Inside they say they found 6.3 ounces of crack, an estimated $6,000 - $8,000 worth. They also found three handguns, two had been reported stolen and a third had its serial number destroyed, usually an indication of a stolen gun, according to JNET. $1,655 in cash was also confiscated.
No word on any arrests being made.
JNET was assisted by the Jackson/Jackson County Special Response Team, the Jackson Police Department, and the Michigan State Police.
