Capital Prime Steakhouse Opening in Eastwood Towne Center
Capital Prime, a new Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant in Eastwood Towne Center, is scheduled to open in early September of this year.
The restaurant’s owners say the restaurant will be ready for a “Soft Opening” in late August, to be followed by a “Grand Opening” in early September.
The building is being completely renovated in order to accommodate the chic, contemporary steak and seafood restaurant. The restaurant, located behind the NCG Cinema in the Eastwood Towne Center, will seat up to 250 and offer two private dining rooms for special parties and meetings, and a remodeled patio with two exterior fireplaces.
“We identified the need in this market for an upscale, modern steak and seafood restaurant, comparable to those in Detroit and Chicago,” Joseph Goodsir, Capital Prime’s Majority Owner, said. “What better place to locate this restaurant than in Eastwood Towne Center, right next to the new Hyatt Place Hotel, and centrally located between Michigan’s
State Capitol and MSU. This will give our patrons an excellent choice for dining and entertainment in the Greater Lansing area.”
Patrons will find premium Certified Angus beef, free-range chicken, wild-caught fresh fish and seafood, and, whenever possible, locally grown produce. Capital Prime will also feature an extensive selection of wine and a fully stocked bar. A diverse menu will include sharable appetizers, salads made with the freshest greens and vegetable accompaniments, a wide variety of protein-based entrees, as well as scrumptious vegetarian, pasta and gluten free options. Numerous Chef
Composition Specials will be offered daily. After-dinner offerings include delectable desserts, cappuccinos, and cordials.
Capital Prime will also feature The Lounge, which owners say is the perfect spot to linger after dinner, or stop in for a cocktail and a bite before or after a movie or special event. The Lounge will transform into a piano and jazz bar Thursday through Saturday, where local and national artists will provide ambiance and entertainment.
The majority owner of Capital Prime is Joseph Goodsir, who has 31 years of experience in the bar and restaurant industry. Currently Goodsir is involved in Beggar’s Banquet, Rick’s Café’, East Lansing and Ann Arbor, The Riviera Café, Harrison Roadhouse, The Nuthouse, and The Giggling Grizzly in Denver.
