A former Howell High School student has won a lawsuit against former teacher, after a judge ruled his freedom of speech rights were violated.
In 2010, Daniel Glowacki was thrown out of class for objecting to activities surrounding an 'Anti-bullying Day.' His teacher made him leave the classroom after Glowacki stated he didn't accept gays because of his religious beliefs.
A judge sided with Glowacki, saying he was protected by the First Amendment.
Glowacki was awarded one dollar in damages.
