Foreclosure Opposition to Michigan House Bill
FOX 47 News
Michigan homeowners who get foreclosed on have six months to work with the bank, but a bill in the House would now give them just two months to modify their mortgage.
It's all in the name of boosting home sales (quicker turnaround, quicker sale), but critics ask "have you ever worked with the bank on a foreclosure?" Not exactly a speedy process.
This is part of a package of bills to extend the state's current "mortgage loan modification program."
It will expire on June 30th.
