Brain Rehab Center Will Give Kids Bike Helmets at "Heads Up for Safety" Event

Michigan State University's Sparty to Help Keep Kids Safe through "Heads Up for Safety" Event
The Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center with their community partners, will present the 11th annual "Heads Up for Safety" head injury prevention event for Lansing-area kids on Saturday. The event will provide 600 free bicycle helmets to local children on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Michigan State University mascot, Sparty will be at the event from 11 a.m. until noon to help with the give-away. This year, Origami and community partners will distribute their 5,000th helmet to Lansing-area children since the inception of its Heads Up for Safety event.
The " Heads Up for Safety, Bicycle Helmet Give-Away" event will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Marshall Street Fire Station at the corner of Oakland and Marshall Streets in Lansing.
There will be professionally trained bicycle helmet fitters at the event to help kids make sure their helmets are fitted and adjusted properly.
