City Council Apporoves Tax Abatements for GM

The Lansing City Council has unanimously approved tax abatement's to General Motors, to encourage the automaker to expand the Grand River Plant.
GM has not said whether it will make a second plant at the facility, but says it is exploring options.
Mayor Virg Bernero says if the plant is expanded, it will create up to 150 jobs, and bring in more than one-and-a-half million dollars in tax revenues in 12 years.
