The Lansing City Council will be discussing tax incentives for General Motors at its meeting Monday. GM wants the tax breaks to help with a $38 million dollar expansion at the Grand River Plant. I t's considering a 400,00 square-foot addition, and could add as many as 150-new jobs to the area.
Also at that meeting, Police Chief Teresa Szymanski will be presenting the police budget for 2014. Szymanski recently announced her retirement, but says it won't affect the budget.
