As we look ahead to the upcoming months of spring and summer, there are several questions homeowners have about being prepared.
What should we do to prepare our lawn, grass and flower beds for spring planting and pruning? What should we apply to our lawns? When should we trim trees and bushes, and what type of equipment should be used. Also, these days, people are all about updating thier outdoor living space, what new and exciting things can we do to enhance our outdoor living spaces?
Andrew Ward of Menards Lansing West location walked us through these topics and more, giving tips for all homeowners considering these types of questions.
When it comes to preparing your home for spring and for plants, Andrew says the first thing to do when you head outside is to take a look at your lawn and check for any holes, bare spots or problem areas. Also look out for any leaves and debrit that may have built up over the winter and get that cleaned up before bugs or insects start nesting in there.
Now is a great time to put down any new grass seed or lawn patch. Menards also has a large selection of the equipment you need such as lawn mowers, tree trimmers, chain saws.
Another thing to do now is to start pruning your trees. Prune now and get them healed up for the long summer months.
Speaking of summer, Menards Garden center is now open and ready for business. Stop by to see a large selection of outdoor fountains, and decor including a lot of items that are new for 2013. You can also pick up bags of fertilizers, soils as well as thier outdoor living area that has tons of patio furniture, umbrellas and grills to name a few.
Some other items that may interest you that Menards offers are outdoor pergolas, fire pits, block systems, drop-in grills and a large selection of gas, charcoal and smoker grills.
