Coming soon to a TV screen near you, the CDC is rolling out another anti-smoking campiagn. It will feature ads of real people telling their stories about the consequences they've faced from smoking cigarettes. It's the first time the U.S. government has paid for an anti-smoking campaign.
The CDC says when the ads run, there's a noticeable difference in people attempting to quit. "To actually see directly from real people, their real that impacted their lives in such a devastating fashion. That this helped to motivate them, first to make a quit attempt."
The new ads will start airing nationwide on Monday.
