Michigan is in the top five when it comes to in-state economic growth. "Site Selection Magazine" ranked the state fourth in the nation for new and expanded corporate facilities.
In 2012, Michigan had 337 projects in the works, compared to number-one ranked Texas with 761 Projects. Those rankings are based on three things: the project investment must be more than one million-dollars, create at least 50 new jobs, and add at least 20-thousand square feet of new floor area.
Some of Michigan's biggest corporate projects include expansions at Dart Container in Mason and GM's innovation center in Warren.
