Update: Fatal Accident in Delta Township

DELTA TWP, EATON CO. - A Lansing man is killed in a traffic collision in Delta Township late Monday morning.
Michael Needham, 72, was killed when the car he was driving collided with another car at the intersection of Broadbent Road and West St. Joseph Highway at about 11:20AM. Eaton County Sheriff's Office investigators say that Needham was driving northbound on Broadbent Road, and failed to stop at a stop sign. The collision caused both vehicles to rollover.
Needham was transported to Sparrow Hospital where Eaton County officials say he died. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital as well, but has since been released.
The intersection of Broadbent and St. Joseph Highway was closed until 2:30PM, while the investigation took place.
St. Joe Highway at Broadbent Road has reopened following an accident earlier today.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital - one with life-threatening injuries.

There was a two-car personal injury crash in Delta Township late Monday morning at the intersection of St. Joseph Highway and Broadbent Road.
Eaton County police are asking that people avoid the intersection. The intersection will be closed until further notice due to the traffic accident.
A car heading north on Broadbent ran the stop sign and was broadsided by a car going west on St. Joseph Highway.
There was one person in each car. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
One of the drivers has life-threatening injuries, and the extent of the other's injuries are unknown at this time.
