Most Crimes on the Decline in Lansing

LANSING - The Lansing Police Department is reporting that the city saw a drop in most crimes during the first half of 2012.
Statistics accrued by the FBI show that both violent and property-related crimes were down significant percentages compared to the same time period the year before. Violent crimes declined by 18% and property crimes decreased 3.5%.
FBI statistics say robbery declined by 29%, burglary declined by 13.5 % and rape declined by 12.2%.
