Truckloads of donations to Sandy storm victims are headed out this week. New World Flood of Lansing is a community group helping others in need, and has been collecting clothes and other items since they put out the word last week.
Organizers tell us they are overwhelmed with the genorosity of the community.
"It's everything from different people, different neighborhoods. Grand Ledge has been big participating in this. Just people from the community. They felt moved to come and make a difference and make an impact. There is a lot of love coming in and out of these doors, and a lot of love being sent to those on the East Coast," said Todd Duckett of New World Flood.
One trailer left Monday afternoon, and more are expected to leave soon.
Donations can be dropped off at the New World Flood office at the Marshall Street Armory all this week.
