Farmers Market Set to Take Capitol Lawn
Mark your calendars for this summer's Farmers Market at the Capitol to enjoy fresh, Michigan-grown and processed goodies on Thursday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, on the East Lawn of the Capitol in Lansing.
Get fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, flowers, baked goods and more from more than 50 vendors from across the state.
If every Michigan household spent $10 per week on Michigan-produced food, it would generate nearly $40 million each week. And, don’t forget your re-useable shopping bags (and cooler totes for those meats and cheeses) to carry home your Michigan goods.
This year's markets will also accept Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project FRESH and Market FRESH so that everyone can get fresh, local food. All made possible by the Lansing City Market.
The second Farmers Market at the Capitol will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012.
