People with disabilities will now be able to enjoy a Michigan beach a whole lot more.
For the very first time, those who need a wheelchair will be able to enjoy the sand and water. That's because this year, Grand Haven State Park has a new sand-powered wheelchair.
The chair is worth around twenty-five hundred dollars and was bought with the help of the non-profit Pursuing a Dream Foundation, based in Grand Rapids.
The chair joins two floating wheelchairs already owned by the park, provided disabled visitors the opportunity to enjoy the water.
All three chairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
