Davenport University announced today that it will begin a $10 million project to renovate a building on the corner of Grand Avenue and Allegan Street in downtown Lansing.
The nine-story building is on the site that formerly had a Fifth Third Bank branch.
The facility will be a mix of colleges of business, technology, and health professions. It's anticipated that the project will be completed next summer, and could more than double the number of students in Lansing from its current 800 to 2,000.
Renovations begin later this year and students beginning classes in 2013 should have access to the new building.
