According to reports, Michigan State football is going to have something else to brag about: the largest scoreboard in the state of Michigan.
The $10 million project is underway, with the current scoreboards taken down as their giant replacements are installed this summer.
Two boards will be at the north end and one on the south end, with a ribbon board along the top of the bleachers on the stadium's north end.
According to the report from LSJ, "The single board above the south end is so large – 5,300 square feet – that a basketball court could be placed on top of it with room 600 square feet to spare."
MSU Athletic Director Mark Hollis describes the scoreboard project in one word: "Awesome."
