Updated: Teenager Shot in Lansing
The LSJ is reporting that the shooting appears to be accidental.
They also report that hree people have been taken into custody for obstructing police, but no charges have been filed in relation to the shooting incident.
The shooting victim was shot twice - in the upper leg and in the wrist - and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The black sedan drove past the victim on the 1001 block of West Willow Street, across the street from the elementary school.
The teenage victim is now recovering at the hospital.
LANSING - A teenage boy shows up at the hospital in Lansing with two gunshot wounds.
The 14-year-old arrived at Sparrow Hospital around 1 o'clock with gunshot wounds to the wrist and upper leg. The wounds are not life-threatening. The boy tells police investigators that he was walking along Willow Street near Princeton Avenue, near Willow Elementary School, when a black sedan drove by him.
He says someone inside began shooting at him. Police are investigating the situation. So far no one is in custody.
