State Appoints Successor to Former Jackson Judge
A Jackson lawyer will soon have a different view in the courtroom than the one he's used to.
Attorney Daniel Goostrey of the firm Parker & Adams, was appointed as the next Jackson County District Judge by the governor's office.
He told us by phone today he's pretty excited and a little nervous, but is looking forward to starting his new job -- hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
Goostrey replaces James Justin, who was removed from the bench in January for abusing his powers. He will go on trial on felony charges related to his actions.
