Michigan State Gets #1 Seed in West Region
The Michigan State Spartans are the Big Ten conference regular season co-champions, the winners of the Big Ten Championship tournament, and now they are a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Michigan State's schedule was considered the toughest in the country.
The Spartans hadn't played in a Big Ten tournament final in over 10 years, last appearing and winning in 2000. Later that year, MSU took home the national championship.
Michigan State is in the West region, and will play the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds in Columbus, Ohio on March 16th.
The Final Four and Championship games will be held in New Orleans. The Kentucky Wildcats were named the overall #1 seed.
