Update: Crash Along I-96 Near Exit 117 Due to Blown Tire

According to the LSJ, a driver suffered minor injuries in an accident early Wednesday morning along I-96 near Williamston. The woman's blown tire caused her vehicle to roll into the median. She had been traveling on I-96 westbound.

The crash resulted in traffic backups in the area, which has been cleared.


A crash involving what seemed to be several vehicles on I-96 East near the Williamston Exit 117 at around 7:30 a.m. this morning.

One car was in the median extremely damaged, while the other vehicles were off to the side of the road.

No reports on injuries, but police and paramedics were on the scene. Avoid the area if possible.
