  • At least 20 fire departments battle fire in downtown Burlington. Fire started in downtown Burlington on N. Pine Street. More photos on my site at Sci'Fi Cafe . Our building should be safe, but was surrounded by smoke when I went down to check on it. I imagine we should be fairly safe and all tenant living above the cafe, except for smoke damage. Fire Fighters will stay on the site to make sure fire doesn't jump to any other buildings through the night.

  • Hi my name is Gabby and I would like to tell you about my love story. It all started with of course meeting the wrong men and then I started to get really busy with school and work. I then decided to sign up for the free trial for match.com. I figured hey since I like going shopping and I can do it online while it is all the more better for me. I was a bit skeptical about all those love sights. So I signed up for the website and for a few days I didn't find any man who really caught my attention. I then later found a guy named David and he was the cutest I have ever seen. So I winked at him and he wrote to me first. It was a simple hello that moved into deeper conversations about getting to know each other better. I was afraid about giving him my phone number so I decided to give him my email. We wrote to each other every day and night. I finally convinced myself that he was a good man and that he was not trying to do anything wrong just looking for love like I was. I then gave him my phone number. We texted and talked for a little while longer until December 24 we finally met up with each other. I felt like a little girl who got nervous and butterflies in her stomach. .It was a love at first sight We met downtown and walked around downtown for about an hour until he had to get back to work. That was our first date and it could not have been better. A month later we are still talking and seeing each other. Our second date was dinner. I was really sick so he made me homemade chicken soup which was the best I have ever tasted. A few weeks later on January 23,2013 he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes I was going to say no and then ask him out the next day to make it match the first time we met. So since then I have been the happiest girl ever. I was living with my parents at the time I met him and my parents wanted me home super early when we were out on our dates. I finally got fed up with it and decided to go apartment hunting. I offered her a ride; that is when I realized I got lucky. She's going two doors down from my apartment! She's friends with my neighbor! People stop there cars and ask what kind of dog he is. Incredibly popular. Freakiest thing I have ever witnessed. He is like the Brad Pitt of the dog world. He is 10 months old and has had hundreds of pics taken of him by street fans. We live on Water street and he has never know anything else but downtown and the third ward. Came from Tucson Arizona. Thus the name Tucar. And the craziest thing to believe is he is a pomeranian.
